We grew up depending on our flannels to keep us warm and comfortable in the woods and as a wardrobe staple for everyday life. It wasn’t uncommon to wear the same shirt for days at a time, even if it contained remnants of blood and dirt. This dependency on a single piece of clothing evolved into an affinity for the flannel shirt; it’s only natural that the shirt we lived in brings back memories of family camping trips and fooling big trout.

As our love for the outdoors progressed, but occasions where dirt and blood stains weren’t appropriate increased, we find that the flannels of our past just aren’t good enough. We need options that are built to hold up in the backcountry but also bring enough style for the city. 

We find that the outdoor flannels on the market are boxy and lack a modern fit, while the fashion brand shirts don’t withstand the rigors of hunting and fishing use. We decided to take matters into our own hands and modernize the timeless, American flannel shirt. Our mission is to create the highest quality, field-ready flannel with a unique sense of style.

Not only are we outdoorsmen but also product specialists. Our team has over 35 years experience working in design, development and product management for some of the biggest brands in the outdoor industry. We have built upon this knowledge to evolve our apparel to create modern clothing that will stand the test of time.

 

It just doesn’t feel right making a classic, American shirt anywhere other than America. It may not be easy, but we believe in building our shirts at home in the USA.  We strive to work with local vendors on every step of the process: from cutting to sewing to embroidering.  By manufacturing close to home, we are able to oversee and ensure quality while supporting our local community.
